Alan J. Belsky

alan-j-belsky.jpgAlan J. Belsky is the managing partner of the firm. His areas of practice include negligence, medical malpractice, bankruptcy and appeals.  He was born and raised in Baltimore and presently resides in Howard County.

Alan graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1991 where he was elected Editor-in-Chief of the University of Baltimore Law Review (Volume 19) and received theAmerican Jurisprudence Award for outstanding academic achievement in the area of Legal Analysis, Research and Writing.  Alan also received the Hoffberger Award for the best writing in the area of professional responsibility.

Alan has published and lectured extensively on a wide variety of litigation topics.  His articles include Injury as a Matter of Law:  Is This the Answer to the Wrongful Life Dilemma, 22 U. Balt. L. Rev. 187, which has been cited extensively in journals and periodicals throughout the country for its novel approach of strict liability for genetic counseling malpractice.  He has also published articles in the University of Baltimore Law Forum, The Daily Record, and has been counsel in a number of high profile cases at both the trial and appellate levels.   He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and received the prestigious SuperLawyers designation in 2007 and 2008.  Alan has also received an "AV" rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which signifies that the lawyer has reached the heights of professional excellence and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.

Alan was instrumental in forming the Maryland State Bar Association Section on Consumer Bankruptcy and spearheaded the formation of the committee which ultimately was granted Section status by the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors in 2003.  Today, the Section has more than 350 members and is serves as the voice for consumer bankruptcy practitioner in Maryland.  Alan also has dedicated a great number of hours representing indigent clients on a pro bono basis.

Alan is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Maryland Association for Justice, the Bar Association for Baltimore City, the Bankruptcy Bar Association of Maryland, and the J. Dudley Diggs Inns of Court. Mr. Belsky serves on the Board of Directors of the Bar Library Company for Baltimore City and is a Peer Review Panel member of the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission.

Valerie Grove
valerie-grove.jpgMs. Grove is an associate attorney with the firm and concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, domestic law, and personal injury.

Ms. Grove is a 1999 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, practices in both the state and federal courts, and is also licensed to practice in New Jersey. In addition, Ms. Grove is a Registered Nurse, practicing critical care nursing in Baltimore.


Robert L Weinberg
robert-l-weinberg.jpgMr. Weinberg is a partner at the firm and concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation and social security disability law. Mr. Weinberg has won millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients from insurance companies and large corporations.

Mr. Weinberg is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he majored in Political Science and minored in Psychology. He was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity and was active in the chapter's fundraising and charitable activies. He then attended Emory University's School of Law where he participated as a student prosecutor in the Cobb County State Attorney's Office. Mr. Weinberg competed on Emory's moot court team and completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) program.

After completing law school, Mr. Weinberg worked as a prosecutor in Washington, D.C., where he achieved a 95% conviction rate.

He is a member of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Prince George's County Bar Association and the J. Dudley Diggs Inns of Court.

Mr. Weinberg has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts and is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
